A snowy forecast was ideal for a trip up to the English Lake District but it was likely to involve a lot of walking and conditions could be hard. I pondered my options and soon realised that the best outfit would be the Panasonic G9 Micro 4/3 camera with a couple of high quality zoom lenses. I was very pleased with my choice as it allowed me freedom to shoot handheld when necessary and also kept the weight down which left me feeling as good at the end of the trip as I had at the start. The added benefit of Micro 43 is that the output is quite similar to film in many ways and I show this in more detail later in the video by comparing the results to Kodak Ektar shot in almost identical conditions.
