Today I do a Double Flip Cup Pouring on black negative area. Who knows my work, I know like pictures, where not everything is completely colorful. In this double flip cup, the middle area should remain black so creates a very unique dynamic in the picture. The canvas I have pre-painted with black paint, so they do not absorb the color so much, just at the edges. The corners were painted with white paint so that the paint runs better. One of the biggest difficulties here is panning, because you always work against the other side. No silicone was used. In this Pouring video you also see my drying method, I use a hot air gun to stop the paint from bleeding further. With that I work on the surface and the edges. The drying then on. Partly a film is formed on the surface. When I do the close-up at the end, you see that nothing drips, even though the picture is not quite dry yet. Nothing really changes in this state. For pictures with silicone you should not be too close to the picture because otherwise many new cells are created by the heat. Here you have to keep some distance and blow-dry longer. For complete drying the picture has to go somewhere, after all, it takes about 3 -5 days. For smaller pictures I use fruit boxes. And why do I put another box over it? To protect the image from dust etc. during drying. Of course you can also stack several works on top of each other.
