The Bronx is the only borough in New York City that is connected to the mainland United States. In colonial era New York, ferries were used as a means of transportation between the (many) islands that make up what is currently New York City. In this video, we metal detect a Ferry Point (a landing for a ferry in colonial New York. The location is Ferry Point Park in the Bronx (Formerly Known as Spicer's Neck). I decided to start Metal detecting on Youtube because I feel the need to teach what I know. It has been a life changing activity for me and I want to share what I know.
